‘Enough Weapons’ Review

… and the mighty Ape proclaims … “It’s all about the supersonic” 3 heavy heavy tunes making one hell of an EP!!

For Ape 15 the lads have gone all inter-conty-nental mental again and are very proud to welcome a new signing to the Simian fold in the shape of the awesome South African duo, ‘Enough Weapons’ Now I usually think one can never have enough weapons, you never know what kind of shit you might find yourself in! So I am quite pleased to add these three tunes to my list of heavy artillery!

First out of the barrel we have the absolutely blinding ‘Supersonic’. This song has “the sound” that dancefloor’s seem to be eating up all over the world at the moment. Dirty infectious bass that grinds away at you and a catchy vocal hook to bounce around your brain leaving wanting more! The only draw back to the track is its quite short coming in at 4:12 hmmmm I feel a classic “REWIND” is in order. I do concur “It’s all about the Supersonic”

Ready… aim… Fire!

Next up is “Downscale” Absolutely bonkers is all i have to say! When things get really heated and you need that extra something… Well, here you go!

Last but not least is “Beyond” The way this song draws you in is fucking genius! After the beat and bass drop in, what really does it for me is the quirky little lead line reminiscent of a nursery school rhyme beckoning me to let loose my primal urges and move “Beyond” This track is really explosive!

As if these 3 weren’t enough to follow Ape has a MASSIVE remix package to come with remixes from Eshericks, That Girl DJ, Freerange DJs and Freeflow45 making this quite frankly one of the phattest releases Ape has done so far!!
